Ephemera

(if-EM-er-uh)

The name ‘Ephemera’ is given to a wide range of beings that are not born but built. They may be a piece of furniture brought to life, a skeleton in a necromancer’s army, or a metallic construct powered by solar energy. Their minds are born fully formed upon creation, potentially leading to some imperfections depending on the designer. As imitations of life, Ephemera have short lifespans and must replenish themselves frequently or risk becoming simple objects again.

You may discuss with your GM about the form of resource that would be suitable (i.e. a robot needing electricity or a ghoul needing flesh), and how much of it will be needed to achieve the effects of a proper rest.

Tier II – Ancestral Trait

To sustain your form, you seek shelter in places that help hold your body together.

Work with your GM to determine which sort of specifications will create the environment that best suits your character’s needs.

Tier II – Ancestral Trait

Your mind and body need to stay active or risk slowing down.

You cannot rest. Instead, you recuperate your energy over time by Exhausting your body to the point you reach a second wind.

Instead of succumbing to death, reaching 10 levels of Exhaustion resets your Exhaustion levels and grants you the effects of a Proper Rest.
