Inventory
What you carry writes your story, from weathered tools to fabled relics.
Your inventory is based on a unit system, with units representing weight rather than literal measurements like pounds or kilograms. You can add anything you find on your travels and decide to carry it along with you in your inventory, provided you have the capacity for it.
Carrying Capacity #
Carrying capacity represents your inventory’s limits for stowing away your items, measured in a number of units. It is determined by a combination of both your character size and your Endurance attribute, with a larger size and higher score allowing you to carry more units at a time.
Carrying more than your total capacity renders you Hindered.
Items #
Items are what take space in your inventory, sometimes granting you features while on your person or equipped, be it a passive trait or an action you may actively perform using them.
The AP cost of such an action and its effects are typically addressed in the item’s description. Some of these actions may even require a degree of expertise in order to be utilized.
Item Category #
Items can do various things for you, operating differently depending on what category they fall under.

Equipment Slots #
Your equipment slots represent a section of your inventory that determines what you actively have equipped—like armor, weapons, or accessories.
For each unit a piece of equipment weighs, it would cost that many equipment slots to equip. For example, a sword weighing 2 units would require 2 slots available to equip it.
Your total equipment slots represent the extent of equipment that your character can equip at once.
These slots are divided into two categories, making them compatible with either standard or enchanted equipment.
- Your number of standard slots are determined by your Physique score.
- Your number of enchanted slots are determined by your Knowledge score.
Expertise #
Some equipment can be hard to master, and can allow for unique techniques when in the right hands. Expertise is used to determine one’s capability to perform these unique techniques and wield such equipment.
- Strength Expertise, which is influenced by your Strength attribute.
- Dexterity Expertise, which is influenced by your Dexterity attribute.
- Technique Expertise, which is influenced by your Technique attribute.
Equipment with actions that require expertise will state the prerequisite expertise scores they need to wield and perform them based on the action’s tier.
